Breakfast Pizza.

I recently had the pleasure of hosting several Baker family members for a post-race brunch.

Being a half marathon, I knew I had to make something substantial.

This did the job.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Breakfast Pizza
Serves 2-4

Ingredients:
1 ball pizza dough
cornmeal, for dusting
4 slices thick applewood-smoked bacon, cut into lardons
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano, grated
5 lg. eggs
hot sauce, for serving

Procedure:
1. Preheat oven to 400˚F.
2. Roll out dough to ½-inch thickness; lay onto pizza stone that’s been dusted with cornmeal; top with bacon and cheeses; bake in oven for 10 minutes; remove; crack open eggs; carefully arrange eggs onto pizza; bake in oven 10-12 minutes more or until egg whites are cooked through and yolks are soft-boiled; remove from oven; cut into wedges; serve with hot sauce.
